Ricki-Lee Live At Upstairs Beresford

Ricki-Lee made her bid for the crown of Australia's Pop Princess with a sold out gig at Upstairs Beresford in Sydney last night, her first ticketed event since 2008.

Looking amazing in her sequinned hot pants and sounding even better, Ricki-Lee proved she is a force to be reckoned with. And although she performed her biggest hits from over the years including Sunshine and Can't Touch It, the crowd went nuts for her last two singles, Raining Diamonds and her newest (you know the one where she forgets to wear pants in the video?), Do It Like That.

Ricki-Lee also performed for the first time her next single, Crazy, which is heavy on the synths and will be a massive hit.

Industry was out in full force, with just about every radio professional and mag hag enjoying the bar. The room was packed with both fans and a splattering of well known faces including the contestants from The Voice, Jess Mauboy, Stan Walker, Scott Tweedie, Dicko, Tyler Atkins and fashion designer girlfriend Kym Ellery, Brian McFadden, Vogue Williams, Jimmy Rees (aka Jimmy Giggle), Andrew Mercado and Carmela Contarino from Nova FM.

Congratulations Ricki-Lee - you did good.

Scott Tweedie Making an Impression

With The Loop kicking goals every Saturday morning on ELEVEN, and the third series of Prank Patrol launching on ABC3 this Sunday, April Fools Day at 2.10PM, Scott Tweedie is again set to light up our television screens with his affable charm and personality.

Not one to rest on his laurels, since his move to Sydney Scott has been in demand as an MC and host, and is making a very good impression. 

Dressed in a Vanguard Denim Shirt and Neuw Denim Jeans (above) Scott walked the Black Carpet at Tropfest, after hosting the Trop Jr Short Film Festival earlier that day.

Scott could then be found hosting the main stage at the Target Kids Day Out. Dressed in a Folke T, Neuw Denim chinos, Gideon shows and rocking an O Clock watch, Scott is pictured here hanging backstage with Yo Gabba Gabba and Rob Mills from Young Talent Time.

New show for Scott Tweedie gets name and air date

ELEVEN’s new Saturday morning show The Loop, co-hosted by beebox mgmt client Scott Tweedie (Prank Patrol/Splatalot) will begin on Saturday 28th January. The 2.5 hour show will begin at 9AM.

Described as a music and entertainment program it will count down the Top 20 songs of the week, and feature film reviews, viral videos and Tweets -however the in-house produced show isn’t expected to be live to air.

A co-host is yet to be announced.

Scott Tweedie Announced as Host of New Music TV Show on Eleven

beebox mgmt is thrilled to announce Scott Tweedie as the host of Eleven's new music and entertainment TV show.

ELEVEN is bringing the party back to Saturday mornings with a show that’s taking the next step in music and entertainment television. One problem – they’re one host short.
Today ELEVEN is launching ‘Hunt For A Host’, a nationwide, online campaign to track down the hottest new gal in music. The lucky lady will be joining Scott in counting down Australia’s favourite tracks, as well as covering the hottest news in film, online and from the Twitterverse.
The casting call goes out to all ladies over 18 with a firm grasp of pop culture, and a bank of music knowledge. To get their foot in the door, bright and edgy hopefuls must head to the Eleven Music website and upload an audition piece by Thursday 15 December. The winner will be chosen the following week, and set into the mix with Tweedie.
Tweedie comes to ELEVEN fresh from the halls of the ABC, where he heads up ABC3’s ‘Prank Patrol’. The fresh-faced presenter has also hosted Studio 3, 3on3 and the 2011 Trop Jr Festival, making him one of TV’s most recognisable faces for younger audiences.
Network Ten chief programming officer, David Mott, said: “We think an interactive music and entertainment program of this nature fits in perfectly with the demographic ELEVEN is focused on. It’s a fresh, forward- thinking format that not only showcases the best of the entertainment industry, but also embraces the wonderful technology we have available to us now.”
Tweedie, who is making his commercial television debut, said: “I think every Australian kid grew up watching music programs on the weekends, to be a part of one that’s so dynamic is really exciting. As for my new host, I can’t wait to meet them! My start on TV came through winning a competition, so it will be great to show someone else the ropes.”

Last week, Scott Tweedie made his first appearance on The Playlist with Andrew Mercado. Alongside Brendan Jones (WSFM), they take a look at  Angry Boys' a few days before its premiere on British TV.  
It's a series that's taking its time to boil, with many Chris Lilley devotees feeling a little restless. We can't help but feel though that there's something good in store - this is Chris Lilley right?
