The Kids Day Out Is BACK...Bigger, Better and Right on TARGET

MARCH 3RD, 2012 SYDNEY SHOWGROUND WILL BE HOME TO THE...
THE 2012 TARGET KIDS DAY OUT MUSIC FESTIVAL

After the huge success of the debut Kids Day Out Musical Festival in March 2011, we are excited to announce the details for the 2012 event on March 3rd, 2012. Bigger, better and now sponsored by major retailer Target, the festival will take place at Sydney Showground in Homebush on Sunday March 3rd, 2012.
Event Organiser and Creator Jackie Than said “We are so excited to have Target believe in our event as much as we do. Target has been a constant in both my own and my children’s lives for many years, and we are thrilled to be working with their team to make this event a great success”.
Dene Rogers, Managing Director, Target said “Target is proud to come on board as a sponsor of this Festival.  Kids are a big focus for us at Target and there is nothing better than seeing families having fun together, which is what the Kids Day Out Music Festival is all about.  With an outstanding line up of popular characters and talent appearances, we know the event will offer something for every member of the family and we are thrilled to support it”
The festival will be a one-stop domain to all the best-known faces from the world of children’s entertainment. An event so big that not one, but three huge arenas have been set aside to cater for pre-schoolers, young teens and families, with an incredible list of big names set to blow the stage away.
Never before has such an outstanding line-up of talent been found at one event. For the younger members of the family, the ABC 4 Kids stage features Jimmy Giggle, Roary the Racing Car, Wot Wots, Thomas the Tank Engine, In the Night Garden, Bananas in Pyjamas, Dirt Girl, My Friend Mark, Miffy, Postman Pat, Lunar Jim, Shaun the Sheep, Teddy Rock, Elmo, Cookie Monster, Jay La'aiga and Sofya Gollan.
Set to appear on the Main Stage are all time favourites Yo Gabba Gabba (Nickelodeon), Ben 10 (Cartoon Network), Lah-Lah (Nickelodeon), Barbie& Ken (Mattel), Magical Tales (Nine Network), The Outback Show, Carptus Idiotus (Australia’s Got Talent), SKB (Australia’s Got Talent), LA Dance Crew, Zigitty Crew, Adam Mada Magician and many more.
For the older kids we have an awesome stage area that will feature Freestyle FMX Riders, SKB Workshops, NRL Clinics, Kitchen Whiz (Nine Network) with Beau Walker and Junior Masterchef Anthony Georgiou as well as a Live Dinosaur Petting Zoo.
A whole new level to children’s concerts will be brought to the Kids Day Out, where children will be given the opportunity to meet, greet and take the most memorable photos with their favourite characters.
To add to this, there will be all day attractions including indoor rides*, X-Box 360 gaming arena, market place, family picnic areas, petting farms, face painting, airbrush tattooing, roving robots, balloonists and loads more.
And don’t worry Mum and Dad, there is plenty of pram parking and areas set aside so you can take time out when the kids need it. Jackie Than continues “It’s big, it’s back and it’s better than ever! It’s an action-packed day filled with entertainment, music, dance and games. Be prepared as the TARGET KIDS DAY OUT is definitely not for the faint-hearted!”
