Jimmy Giggle at Townsville's Cyclone Sunday

The Queensland City of Townsville embraced Jimmy Giggle at two separate events over the weekend. On Saturday, Jimmy met over 1000 of his fans at the Townsville ABC Shop then on Sunday he appeared at Townsville's Cyclone Sunday, promoting cyclone awareness. 

Cameron Burgess, Regional Content Manager at ABC Radio 630 North Queensland said "TCC and EMQ 'blame us' for the extraordinary turn out at yesterday’s event" - not even they could believe it. They are estimating that close to 8,000 came to the park throughout the day which is well up on last year’s turnout. "We know that around 2,000 of those people patiently lined up to meet Jimmy Giggle. Jimmy did an extraordinary job with not one fan going home disappointed".
