While most people usher in the New Year feeling dusty from the night before, Nick dusted off his suit to capture all the build up and excitement of the historic One Hundredth Test at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
Australia's cricketing icons spoke to SBS about the match including Michael Hussey, Glenn McGrath and Michael Clarke, before the current captains history making innings.
Throwing his hat in the swarming international contingent of journalists, Nick would have been the envy of a billion people in the subcontinent, quizzing India's captain MS Dhoni about his sides form…clearly, they were not at their best this time around.
While there was plenty of fun had talking to some of the biggest names in world cricket there was also work to be done. The outcome of the adventure - two preview features for the upcoming test match that aired on SBS World News.
Nick covered all four days days of the test for SBS, and will have a close eye on the remaining matches, including the WACA test.
